Full Belly, Empty Pockets
Now that I have finished re-capping the greatness that is Argentina, some updates on Brazil.
I arrived in São Paulo about three weeks ago and spent the first 3 days in a fancy downtown hotel with the other six students in my study abroad program. All of us are American students from different universities and we take business classes in English together at one of the best business schools in...

Pass the Salt Shaker: Northern Argentina part 3
Last post on travels in Argentina!
Our last day of the trip, we took an amazing tour to the salt flats near the Bolivian-Argentine border. Unlike our previous tours, which were in vans with 15 other people, this time we booked a 4x4 with our own guide, who was awesome. He packed us a little container of homemade alfajores and cakes and played reggaeton hits.

2. Parks and public transportation are magical. Thanks for being awesome, BA.
3. I can say with 95% certainty that I will not marry an Argentine guy. And I now appreciate Southern boys roughly 1000% more.

Your Mama's a Llama: Frozen Adventures in Northern...
Yes, I am in Brazil right now. But I still have a couple posts to wrap up the five months I spent in Argentina. The last week I was there, I travelled with three friends to northern Argentina, near the Bolivian border. Theme of the trip: cold. Bone-chilling, toe-freezing cold.
A couple hours after finishing my last management exam, I hopped on a bus for the 20 hour journey to Salta, a historic...
The Rivalry Begins
Before coming to South America, I heard a lot about the friendly rivalry between Brazil and Argentina. Both seem to think they’re the best country on the continent, from economic power to soccer. During the World Cup, cheers erupted in the streets of Buenos Aires when the Brazilian team lost their last match. But based on what I’ve seen, Brazilians seem to express more...
